'Move to Trash' option in Edit Layout

Can I give users the ability to move an asset to Trash within a Simple Edit Layout? How?


(supplementary question: does EES allow a 'Move to Trash' option?)

You could just use a trigger to do this, then build a button that queries the trigger URL.

Here is a screenshot of how I have one setup:







I would then just use an ajax call to that URL with ?aciton=delete appended.

In EES assets are moved to trash by removing all the locations in the linking screen. There is a shortcut to remove all links by clicking on the small red trash icon in information box.

I'd missed the option in Create Links that allowed the unlinking from Existing Parents!

Thanks, Anthony - we've never really seen EES in action, so are wondering if EES would be less bother than tweaking Simple Edit layouts and offer more out/the/box functionality and user-friendliness.
