Hi,
I have found a problem from 2012 that sounds somewhat similar, but more generic:
http://forums.squizsuite.net/index.php?showtopic=9503&hl=%2Bincomplete+%2Bsubmission
The full description of the assets experiencing the problem is as follows:
- Multipage custom form asset; bodycopy to customize every section
- 8 sections, the first of which does not have any questions attached and acts as a "welcome" page.
- Inside some pages, there is an asset listing embedded on pages which in turn lists previous, complete submissions (the ones which have been curated and made live)
The issue we are experiencing is that when people load the page (most of hte time; occasionally this does not happen and the issue is intermittent) are teleported to section 6 of the form, with the question on that page filled out with a specific answer which was used as part of a test submission ("fsfds" or similar). This is not an occasional thing wherein some submissions are getting mixed up, but rather it is always the same submission that seems to be "stuck" in the system. Note that it is not the complete submission, just ONE question on ONE section, if you go "back" the earlier sections do NOT have an answer in them despite being "required" questions.
We have tried a variety of things, clearing caches, opening in incognito windows, and sometimes it "seems" to have fixed the issue, wherein it works, but then shortly after the problem reappears. I work for a university which recently updated the Squiz version, but I do not know where to find what the version is (I appologize).
Does anybody know what might be causing this? Please keep in mind I do not have unlimited system access, and may need to escalate issues within my own tech support structure, however so far nobody here has seen this issue or knows how to fix it. The question I linked to above seemed to indicate that in some way there might be a cacheing issue... but I don't think my issue is necessarily the exact one described there, although it is likely related.
Thank you for any help,
Adam.
