I thought MySource Matric had the avbility to host multiple sites with their own domain URLs…
I have the system root URL created as:
matrix.mystikweb.dyndns.bix which is currently only available on my local network, and if I try and add a URL to a new site say test1.mystikweb.dyndns.biz I get the following error:
URL "test1.mystikweb.dyndns.biz" is not based upon an existing System Root URL [CORE0082]
Even if I try and enter in a new domain all together, I get the same URL…
We are looking to run multiple sites using multiple domains, so we need it to allow any domain as the URL…
Can someone please shed some light on this.
Cheers
You need to add all the URLs you want to support to the "System Root URL" list in the System Configuration screen. If you click the "System Configuration" button in the top right-hand corner (while logged in as root), you will be able to add additional URLs to the list. You need to configure one URL per line, btw.
Once you have added the URL here, you will be able to apply it to a Site asset. Don't forget to also apply the same URL (with /_design, /_media and /_users appended) to the Design, Media and Users folders.

New to this product, so please remind me of the best way to do this for each site? I have the two sites running, and had all designs for site one up and running with images, when I added design images to the second site, all the images on both sites no longer load…
any suggestions? does this occur due to the above?
Cheers
—EDIT
Ok I worked it out, though seems strange that I would have to update eac of them with the URLS to get the sites working correctly.
—EDIT AGAIN
Ok has not worked, the first ste has restored images, but the second site still is not loading anything…
Any suggestions? each use their own designs, each use their own related images csss etc
—EDIT YET AGAIN
Ok I have it all worked out now, sorry to the possible ‘dumb’ posts, still getting my head around the product and where things are to make it all working correctly…
