Nested forms

I have noticed that the "contact us" page on our website was setup as a standard page with some intro text and a nested content area below which brings in a form. But on submit, the "thankyou" message is placed into the same nested area and we still get see intro text at the top. Which in some cases could be a good thing-but not in this instance.

I think an easy way around would be to link directly to the form and Include the Intro text in the body copy for the the form.

can I get a confirmation that this is the way nested forms should / or should not be working within a standard page asset…

cheers

Steve

Yes, that is how nested forms work and your idea of linking directly to the form would be the right way to get the intro text to disappear on the thank you page.

You generally dont nest custom forms because they cant be cached correctly. The alternative way you have described is correct. Dont use a standard page; just put content in the form contents.

I am having the issue, now I understand…
