I want to Nest a Dynamic news item on the home page of my site, i have followed the design manual but i can't work out where i tell the content what i want nested, heres what i have so far…
<MySource_AREA id_name="current_news_pannel" design_area="nest_content">
<MySource_SET name="type_codes" value="page file" />
</MySource_AREA>
I assumme there must be a way to tell my parse file what i want nested in this area but i can't see where?!

You would normally create a customisation of your design rather than hard coding the assetid in the parse file.
To do that, go to the customisations screen of the design and create a new one (the name doesn't matte). Then go to the details screen of the customisation. Here you can select to customise the "current_news_pannel" design area. Once you do that, you can click through to that design area and select the asset you want to have nested in that area.
Once the design customisation is ready to go, apply the customisation to your site instead of the main design.
You can create as many customisations as you want so different parts of your site can have different content in that nested area.

You can't actually provide an asset ID for a nest content design area in the parsefile anyway (as it is a NOTICE link between the design area and the nested asset) so you have to create a customisation for it.
