Wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction relating to incorporating news items on my home page.
I've got news items eg: home/corporate/news/item1 etc etc - that I'd like to also show up at the main home page.
Whats the best way to achieve this? Also it would be good to be able to limit the list of items to be say only the most recent 5 or 10 items.
Many thanks,
BJ
I'm not sure if it is the best setup but we do have a working news system developed in Matrix.
We've setup two asset listing pages that point to two corresponding folders - one for current news to sit on the home page, and one for archived articles that can still be browsed on a separate page.
We use future linking to move the current articles to the archive folder on a specified date.
In our design parse file we use a div with nest_content customisation to point to the current news asset listing page.
Further to this I do have an issue with my Archive asset listing page that I would like to fix.
When the future linking moves the article (standard page) from the home page ("Current news" asset listing page) to the "Archive" asset listing page the entry always goes to the very bottom. Is there any way to reverse this so that the most recently added asset to the archive asset listing displays on top?
You could sort by updated date descending.
