When I include a previous or next link on an asset listing page, the links still show even if there are no more assets to list.
This has been reported in Bug 854, which is closed. The bugs it links to talk about the no results bodycopy, which is working fine, but this isn’t really what’s happening.
We’re running 3.16.0, is it supposed to be fixed on that branch?
This is not a bug, it was designed that way. What you should be seeing is the text but not linked. No feature exists to stop it from printing if it is not linked.

If you are really wanting to do this, you could just remove it with javascript.
Ah, I see, if you use the keyword %next_page_href% as part of an a href tag then it will still link but if you use straight out %next_page% it doesn't.
Since I don't know javascript that's good enough for me!
