My question is regarding the csv file output received from an online form.
We have several forms using Tickbox lists, we have added them into the form as one question with several options.
Once the form has been submit, all the options ticked are contained in a single cell.
Is it possible to for each option to be displayed within the CSV within its own cell?
It looks like a feature request to change the delimiter from comma to something else for the tickbox list response. Try pull out the list by asset listing, so you can define your own delimiter(e.g. semi-colon) for the responses in each submission. Excel will ask which character to be used as column divider when importing to it.

exporting submissions to CSV in Matrix form is designed so that every question is delimiter by comma.
The answer for the tickbox question is supposed to be contained in one cell "opton1,option3". It can be not be changed.
If you need to customize the export format, the best way to do is creating an asset listing page and customize the format with keywords.
