Oracle Date Format

Hello,

we are doing a clean install of Matrix with Oracle. Our existing Oracle instance uses the date format ‘DD-MON-RR’ so is it essential that the NLS_DATE_FORMAT is set to ‘YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:24’ or can it use our current format?

Yes, it is essential you set it correctly otherwise all dates and times, including lock timeouts, will not work.

Also, remember to get your DBAs to add the Oracle Text index, otherwise your search manager won't work.
