Password reset - No email

I have set up a Password Reset page. When you fill out the form, it tells you that an email has just been sent, but the email is never received. Is there a cron job or something that is not running?

The email is sent as soon as the page is processed. Are you getting other emails from your system okay?

I get emails when there is a mysource error, or when I change a value in the system config screen. Also had a trigger sending me an email when a user logged in.

We just upgraded to 3.14, not sure if that matters, but I don't think I tried it before that, but can't remember.

I have no idea why it wouldn't be sending. Nobody has submitted a bug report for it, so you should contact Squiz Support so someone can take a look for you.

Any user can use the password reset page, correct? Even admins? Because that is all I have been trying it as.

I see my user under Pending Requests…

Also, would there be a log for this somewhere?

Yes, any user should be able to use it. There is no log file though; that pending requests list shows you who is waiting to reply.

I finally get this working, with the help of Squiz Support. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem…

What was going wrong was I didn't have a RFC822 compliant email address. So, I changed it to: "puc.edu Webmaster" <webmaster@puc.edu> and now my password reset page works like a charm.

NOTE: I think that this should be specified in the CMS user manual so that others know how to format the "From" section of the Email format.
