Now that I've got an asset to install I need to know how to patch it. The process of writing the patch is the goal of this exercise, not what the actual patch does.
Looking at the current patches there's quite a bit of work that goes into making a patch. I'm assuming that there's some sort of script that you can run over a cvs dir or 2 copies (old and updated) of the package that will produce the patchyyyymmddhhmm.xml file. I can't believe that all this is generated by hand.
