Sure you can.
You use the users workspace asset and link items under that. Then you can do things like use asset listings based on the current user. You can also use the Calendar Page asset to show personalized calendar items if you would like. If you would like the user to have "favorites" you can use a link manager page and create links under the current user. Then an asset listing could be used to show those "favorite" links.
That just a start!

You dont need to use the workspace in a recent version - you can just create assets directly under the user. Use asset listings with current user as the root node to display them. It is usually easier to create the users under your site rather than in the users folder.
Cool,
I did that and yes that is working, It a very good news. But :-( I am now trying to do the same thing with a calendar. Under my site there are some users and under their workspace thay have their personal events. The static nood of my calendar is my site, my Event Source Restrictions is :
Personalise? no
Dynamic Event Sources : Replacement Event Source (must be a child of the static root node) and Current User Asset ID
Of course that does not work. My calendar does not display their personal event when they are logged. But when I see the calendar as a public user I can see all the events : common and private. This thing will be a other problem...a public user should not be able to see the private events.
any clue?
cheers

The "Personalise" option on the Calendar Page must be set to "yes" and the "Dynamic Event Sources" can be left blank. Using the "Personalise" option will automatically look for events under the current user.
Personalised Events must be linked to the relevant User and underneath the "Event Sources" Root Nodes. This means that personalised events draw from a pool of events.
If you need an event to be viewed only by a particular person, Read Permission would be granted only to the owner of the event. Of course, anyone who has "Write" or "Admin" permission will still be able to see and edit this event.
I am sorry but , I followed exactly what you wrote and that does not work :
My event source is : Loop
my Event Source Restrictions :
Personalise? yes
Dynamic Event Sources is blanck
I have some live event under my event source loop and linked under the workspace of some user,
My user have the write permissions on these events.
I am logging with one of my user and nothing appear on my calendar.
Sorry if I did not understand somethings you said.
What version of MySource Matrix are you using?
There was a bug reported about the personalisation flag not working when it was set to yes. It was fixed in v3.18.7 and 3.20.0.
3.18.2
Does that means I have to upgrade MSM ? Is this bug exist with my version?
??
Yes, if the bug exists in your version of Matrix you would need to upgrade in order to get that fixed.
Ok Its not possible to fix that with a other way. Is it the only solution to use personnal calendar? Its very annoying to have to update MSM.

I may have suggested that the “Personalise” option would allow general Calendar Events (ie; those that aren’t personalised) to be shown in the calendar. When set to “Personalise”, the only events shown are those which are common to both the Root Nodes specified on the Calendar Page and available under the logged-in User.
I have performed a quick test of this on 3.18.9 and have verified that this works as specified above.
We would recommend upgrading to 3.18.9, which includes other fixes and minor enhancements. However if you are a Squiz client please contact Support so we can assess whether Bug 3363 can be patched in your installation.
