Can someone give some light on when php5 will be supported?
We do not plan on supporting PHP5 with MySource Matrix. However, I suspect MySource4 will support PHP5 when its released.
will mysource 4 be a major version upgrade of matrix? or a completely different CMS? (will there be a possibility to upgrade from matrix to mysource4?)
Is there any indication of time frames when it will be available?
Its a completely different CMS, however you will be able to upgrade from MySource Matrix to MySource4.

No, there are no timeframes for availability yet.
If we are paying customers, will we be able to upgrade to MySource4 for no charge? Also, if we pay the initial cost for the premium modules, will be ever have to pay in the future for upgrades? I just worry that we have spent the money, and later on we will have to spend more to keep up with the updates.
You'll need to talk to your account manager for that rather than ask on the forums.
But I don't think you'll get any solid answers. We haven't even started to consider pricing and modules yet. We are still early on in the design and build phase.

Not for a very long time. 
We still support MySource Classic (i.e. v2.x) now, for example.
It is too early to make comments like this. There will be a clear upgrade path from MySource Matrix to MySource 4, so once MySource 4 covers the functionality of MySource Matrix, we will certainly stop doing development on it. When this will be is unknown.
Edit: Forgot to mention that MySource Matrix covers different functionality than Classic and has no upgrade path from it. Therefore, it remains a separate product.
Greg is right – you also need to consider that MySource4 is at least 18 months or more away from being even slightly production ready, so we have a while to go before this becomes an issue.
Any word when Matrix will reach 3.10.4? or is the next major update 3.11?
3.10.4 will be out on the 4th Dec, but is a bug-fix release only.
Next major update will be 3.12, due for RC on the 4th Dec and stable on Jan 8th. Looking at around 60-70 new features in that release.
