We have a matrix system that is authenticating against Active Directory. In addition to authentication, all group membership information is pulled from AD.
I wrote to Invision to ask about powerboards ldap capabilities. Their reply said that PB can authenticate - but can't pick up group memberships from AD.
If my understanding is correct, this would mean that my users would be able to access the forum using existing credentials - but we would need to manage forum permissions within powerboard. Does this sound right?
This is a bit short of our ideal situation - but we could manage. It would be much better if powerboard allowed users access to forums based on AD group memberships - keeping all our permissions in one place.
Alternatively, has anyone heard of importing group information from ldap/AD into powerboard?

I would recommend asking this question on the Invision Support forums.
