Print Metadata Thesaurus Field with specific separator

Hello. I'm printing the value of Metadata Thesaurus Field "foo" in a Paint Layout:

%asset_metadata_foo%

Are there any keyword modifiers that would change the default separator (a comma) to something else (e.g. a semi-colon)?

 

Some of the Thesaurus items have commas in them so when printed on screen it can be confusing as to where one item ends and the other begins.

I would imagine it would be hard to differentiate the real commas from the commas that separate the terms.
