Hi everyone,
I've got a bunch of external RSS feeds, that I've got set up as RSS Data Source assets. Then I have an asset listing to list out the Data Source Record Sets (each RSS article) with a title, link, description and the
value. All marvellous.
The
is in RCF date format, eg
and I can output using the keyword 'ds__pubdate'
On my asset list sorting screen, I've set up an Asset Keyword Value for 'ds__pubdate' and I've set this as the default sort option.
All my dates are in June, but here's what I get on various sort settings;
No sort - 7,8,21,17,14
Sort by raw value - 21,14,7,17,8
Sort by presentation value - 21,14,7,17,8
So my pubdate sort has had some effect, but not the one I want!
How can I get my list to be sorted by the pubdate values, but in correct date order?
thanks!
Charlie.
Typical - post something the to forum, and then figure it out!
Here's what I did, changed my Asset Keyword Value from just 'ds__pubdate' to 'ds__pubdate^date_format:d m Y' and then sort by Raw value, Descending - presto, all rss articles in perfect order; 21,17,14,8,7.
Keyword modifiers really do rock my world sometimes.
Hope this might help someone else!
