Purging trash

Hi,
logged in as root, I'm trying to purge the trash.

It fails when reaching HIPO progress:33% - Deleting Assets: 0%.

The error log gives me the following:

    [2006-05-10 08:56:38][12:Root User][1024:mysource notice][R] (/core/include/locale_manager.inc:513) - Unable to acquire "attributes" lock on "Content DIV 8121", lock already held by "User Bla" [SYS0101]
    [2006-05-10 08:56:38][12:Root User][512:mysource warning][R] (/core/include/locale_manager.inc:513) - Purge aborted, unable to lock the asset "Content DIV 8121" [HIPO0005]

This is on 3.8.1 (Oracle) with the Squiz Server on.



The thing is: there are no active locks.

The assets that seem to cause problems are search pages. The search index is not switched on.


  1. Any thoughts on what's happening?


  2. Any tricks on how to purge the trash?


  3. When an asset (say std page) is in the trash and the lock is still held by User X, can the trash be purged?

Active locks: still none.

Bad form I know but:


1./ What's happening (part of)?

Switching the Squiz Server off, the purging goes all the way.

Had to purge twice for it to actually empty the trash but still it worked.

Squiz server is now back on and purging the trash from a couple of assets seems ok.



I still don't know what happened (and would like to know). It seems to be something to do with Squiz Server and locks.



2./ How to purge trash?

As above.



3./ Can a trashed locked asset be purged? What happens if not?

That I would also still like to know.
