Question about backend user

Hi,

Can we restrict backend user access specific to one website only? What I am trying to do is to give my customers edit/write permission to edit their websites. But if I create backend user for them, they will be able to browse the structure of other websites.

Is there any way to block that?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

If the other sites have public read access, you cant stop your backend users from browsing eachothers sites. However, from 3.10 onwards, you can specify that users of a group should be auto-teleported to a specifc asset.

So you may want to put a backend users for Company X into a group called Company X Users. Then go to the Preferences screen of that group. There, you can customise the Asset Map Root Asset preference and select the Company X site. When Company X users log into the backend, the asset map will show the children of the Company X site rather than the whole tree. They will still be able to hit the Restore Root button on the asset map to go back up to the top of the tree, but it's better than nothing.
