Question for Online Pooling Asset

Is there any documentation on how to do the online pooling asset? Cause when I did check on this: http://matrix.squiz.net/resources/documentation and I don’t thinks it is in there.

You know in the Keyword Replacement for the "Result List Format". I couldn't find the TOTAL of votes? Is there any such thing?

There is not a keyword for the total number of votes across the poll. However, it would be possible to calculate this by using the %poll_option_votes_number% keyword for each option in the "Results List Format" in combination with JavaScript. The total would then be printed in the "Results Format" bodycopy after printing the results list (%poll_results_list%).

I don't quite understand this cause how do I reference this fields if I got multiple options (YES, NO, MAYBE). They are all coming in 1 variable sort of speak. %???%. If you know what I mean. Any sample regarding this cause I am quite interesting with this approach.

The "Results List Format" determines the layout of each option, so the %poll_option_votes_number% keyword will be replaced with the appropriate total for each option when printed.



The keywords and the resulting display for each is shown in the "Other CMS Assets" manual. I recommend following the setup of the Online Poll provided and experimenting with the keywords that are available.

I do undertand that but the thing that I don't understand you mentioned that in order to get the whole total votes (Not just individual option) that there is notr keyword replacement for this and the only to get is by using javascript to get it. Do you have sample for this?

I do not believe there is a sample. That's really just a standard answer for features that Matrix does not yet have. You can complete control over most output formats, so you can use JS to calculate things like totals.
