We're currently migrating 100+ sites from MySource Classic to Matrix and during this process, we have sites in both versions of MySource.
In Matrix we can sucessfully use Remote Content pages to pull content from external sites and even Matrix sites hosted in another installation. We can't however, get it to work when attempting to access any of our sites in Classic.
The errors:
PHP Warning
fsockopen(): unable to connect to 130.95.128.111:80
MySource Warning
Cannot connect to server while attempting to access "http://www.uwa.edu.au/students/welcome?" - Connection timed out [CMS0063]
Any ideas? Settings?

There is absolutely nothing different about Classic than any other remote server. Can you access that Classic system from elinks or lynx on the Matrix box? Even wget will tell you if there are any communications problems.
