Can anyone please tell me if there could be a setting somewhere either in Matrix on on our server that would not be allowing remote content to display.
I can get any content from a site that is hosted by our Matrix system to display as remote content, but as soon as I put in an external URL I get the error message.

Hi,
Although this seems like some fire wall issue, can you paste in here what error you are getting? can u try and use wget for this same URL form the shell?

The error is just the matrix error displayed from Messages screen for unavaialble content.
We can't access the shell to perform wget as boxes are managed by our IT service provider and any access must be via change control.
I feel it's probably a firewall issue too (our system is pretty locked down as we are Govnt dept.)

Are you accessing the outside world through a proxy server and if so what sort?
