I have a number of child assets from which I want to remove a metadata schema. The parent asset doesn’t have the schema applied to it. In the past, I would apply the schema to the parent, uncheck cascade to children, then go back in and delete the schema from the parent, ensuring that “Cascade schema changes” under “Cascade options” is checked. This used to work, but doesn’t seem to now (all it’s doing is removing the schema from the parent asset).
How am I supposed to do it now?

What version are you working on ? and what version it used to work on ?
3.20.2
Am pretty sure it used to work on 3.16 - before all the cascade options were introduced in 3.18.

Hi,
I tried doing it on my system, and Matrix did remove schema from all the child assets. I have tried doing it on 3.20.3 and 3.18.11 system.
Can you tell me which options you had checked?
Does it work when there are two schemas applied to the child assets, and you’re trying to remove one (which is our current situation)?
UPDATE: We have tried this again today, using the method I outlined in my first post, and it worked. The only difference today is that no locks were held on any of the child assets. Perhaps this had something to do with it? Might be worth testing?
