I run a rather simple deployment of MySource Matrix, version 3.8.4
I've always logged in as root, and today I got a problem, after a year + of no problems, thats actually rather scary.
the root login, is able to login, I can load the tree, and see stuff in the main content area, but a bunch of the items in the asset tree have the RED X on them, and when I try to create folders, or upload assets, it says…
[quote]Request to Matrix failed: Error while getting response: Cannot create link, no write access found, permission denied [AMAP0012][/quote]
I'm getting this on all items that I try to right click and add a new folder, or a new file to.
The asset map must not know who you are logged in as. Does the root user's name display correctly in the top frame? Are you seeing login boxes appearing in any of the frames?
As I’ve done time and time again, I type in the root username, and password.
When it loads, it says “logged in as: duran goodyear” which its always said.
In the asset tree, the system management, designs, media, are RED "X"ed out. So is the “root” website defined in the tree lower down.
I can open the other websites, see their contents, I can open up a page, aquire locks on it, edit its contents in the html editor, save the changes, and view those changes live.
When I go to “my space” and try to view the inbox or edit my details, it asks me to login again, but won’t take the ROOT credentials.
In the ASSET tree, when I try to ADD a file, or ADD a folder, it says the error I opened this thread up with.
When it asks you to login again does it say, on the login box, that you are currently logged in as duran goodyear? If not, it should say "Currently logged in as [Not Logged In]".
The exact content of that login box (the currently logged in section and the message below it) are important to determine if the system has logged you out or if it is some sort of permissions problem. Can you post those messages here please.
When this problem happens, and I try to access something I should have access to, the main (left hand) content area shows me the Login box, and it says
"Currently logged in as [Not Logged In]".
I also see the very top most frame (where the hipo, … log out buttons are) as a generic IE "You are not authorized to view this page" error.
