In the AWStats report, is the tally of views for an RSS page:

  • the number of views of the page itself; or
  • the number of times that the users RSS feed interface had loaded the feed

    Both actually. Anytime that URL is requested, be it from a human or a machine, it is logged.

What I men is the link that a user clicks to generate the feed, rather than the page that is the asset listing that supplies the feed .

Statistics on the RSS Feed URL itself is the list of all requests to the feed.
