We have a 2 step workflow applied to our intranet which requires a review and an approval. This is applied accross our entire site and works fine. There is one particular section which when pages are put into safe edit and the changes are submitted, the changes are visible on the live page, even though the asset is still in safe edit mode. The only difference between this section and the rest of the intranet is that an additional group has write permissions. All other permissions and workflow settings are the same. I'd appreciate some assistance or any ideas about this.

if you are logged in and you have write permission (or higher) to the asset, Matrix will show you the Safe Edit version. It is only if you are not authenticated, or do not have write permission (or higher) that you see the Live (i.e. unmodified) version.
its ok i got it sorted. Somehow the public user had been given write permissions to that section, hence them being able to see the safe edit versions.
Yes, that would do it. :) Also, giving Public write access would allow them to see Under Construction assets too.
