Scorm packages and Squiz Matrix

Matrix Version: 5.4.1.2

We’ve had a query regarding hosting a SCORM package within one of our Squiz Matrix websites.

Has anyone out there done anything with SCORM before in Matrix? Is this something easily done? Or something we should look to recommend gets hosted separate of Matrix?

Hi Douglas, did you ever get any response to this? We have been approached with the sme request and am gathering pre existing knowledge re integrating in Squiz.

Hi David.

I talked with a few Squiz contacts back in '18 and as I recall there was a suggeston that Matrix could be setup as an authoring environment with SCORM packages as an output, but that the SCORM output would then need to be imported into an LMS that supported SCORM. Matrix was itself not capable of hosting those.

Since we have an LMS platform, we simply guided our request to contact the relevant LMS team.

We have an LMS but would like to host a particular piece of content on our intranet instead, as we don’t want to track completion. Is there a way of uploading a zip file (with the SCORM content in it) to Squiz? As per instructions in article linked here?
Has anyone done this with a SCORM file?

If it’s a zip file you should be able to do it just fine. Matrix by default allows .zip files to be uploaded and hosted.
