Search Page versus Asset Listing - potential inconsistency?

I have a Search Page asset where I have specified that Under Construction assets should be included, and an Asset Listing where I have also specified that Under Construction assets should be included, but Under Construction assets only appear in Asset Listings if you are logged into Matrix, whereas Under Construction assets appear in Search Page results whether logged into Matrix or not.


Is there a reason for this? If I specify that I want Under Construction assets to appear in an Asset Listing by including them in Asset Statuses to List, shouldn't I be able to expect that they will appear even for people not logged into Matrix? (the application for this is an intranet for staff involved in website maintenance)

Well, Asset Listings don't have a "Search as Public User" option, which on Search pages is set to NO.
