Search replace bad links

Hi everyone,
I have a few 100 pages with this link in the content <a href="./?a=53791#au-In_the_News-Subscribe">

The links were created when we migrated our content in, and on the site the full link renders as:

http://nationalparks.build.squiz.co.uk/dartmoor/aboutus/news/au-geninterestnews/?a=53791#au-In_the_News-Subscribe

If I go in and edit the link to point to the asset within the asset tree, then the link renders with the web path:

http://nationalparks.build.squiz.co.uk/dartmoor/aboutus/news/oldnewspage#au-In_the_News-Subscribe

I want to change all these links to a new page asset, and so far I've tried:

Global search and replace - seems to only work on the text content not html content of pages

Remap manager - put in full old url as seen on the site and new url, nothing changes

Moving the asset #53791 into Trash and adding a remap to the new asset - links don't change.

So, what can I do to change all these links to either the correct web-path, so that then a Remap might work, or just to point to a new asset ID?

Thanks for any advice!

Charlie.

Sounds like the link is rendering incorrectly. If you go into the asset, acquire locks and then just commit (without re-selecting the link) does that fix the issue?

Hi Dan,

Nope that doesn't fix it. I have to go into the link window and recreate it, and only after doing that does the link appear as a NOTICE type link on the orignal asset #53791.

If I could get a search and replace to work on html code, rather than just the front content of divs, I could fix it, but I don't know how I could do that?

Thanks!

Charlie.
