Session expiry

Hi,

I am getting a lot of emails from users of a particular intranet site of ours. It requires authentication and uses the 'permissions' screen to determine who has access to particular pages etc. The idea, as with most intranets, is you login once and don't need to authenticate again until you next visit the site.

The problem is some users are being required to login to every single page, or are being logged out indiscriminitely. This is even after I have set the user group preferences in Matrix to keep users' sessions open for 90 days.

What could be causing the problem and what are some of the issues around Matrix sessions? And yes, I have checked the permissions to each page, the design they are using etc and everything seems to check out…

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated…

Sometimes ip addresses fluctuate in the network. There is a setting in the system config to try and combat this. Set "Allow IP Change" to "Yes" and see how that goes.

Because you say 'some' it might be browser specific? if their browser is deleting or blocking cookie all the time that could be a problem.
