Hello. Changes to WYSIWYG, <textarea /> and <select /> fields don't save when URLs begin https://. Normal text <input /> fields seem to work fine. No JavaScript or PHP errors reported.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Cheers,
Jamie
Hi Jamie,
I haven't experienced this directly, but could you possibly have a browser warning about the page resources mixed between http and https? It's more likely to be a browser security issue that can be resolved by applying https to non-secure resources (scripts/images).
Cheers,
Anthony
Hi Anthony,
Thank you for getting back to me. I've been unable to recreate the error myself but this afternoon got a call from a user who's experiencing it.
When the user clicks login while on an HTTP page, the login screen changes to HTTPS (as we want it to). However, it then doesn't revert back to HTTP when the Simple Edit interface appears. It does for me, but not for users who experience the saving problem. I've tried logging in with both my admin and a standard backend user account but I can't recreate the error.
Do you know if there are circumstances in which Matrix would serve an HTTPS Simple Edit over an HTTP one?
Kind regards,
Jamie
