Site index page metadata problem

Hi guys,


I have a metadata schema with a field called 'StudyArea'. I have applied the metadata schema to an entire site with numerous pages underneath. I have set different values for StudyArea for the site and the page (which is the site's index page).



In the frontend only the site's metadata value for StudyArea is displayed. This only occurs on the index pages, every other page is fine. Is there a more specific keyword I can use, as I am using %asset_metadata_StudyArea% as a declared variable.



Any help will be appreciated. thanks.

The code above gives me what I need in the index page, however I can't use that as a declared variable.

What are you trying to achieve? I mean, I'm not sure why you're declaring it as a variable in the design, for example. There could also be a way of doing what you want using paint layouts instead.
