we’re trying to resolve a potential duplicate-content problem:

I tried to remove the webpath from the page /home but that caused something strange to happen with the override design.
When the site’s index page has a web path, the page renders (correctly) in the override Design applied to the Site. When I remove the web path the page renders (incorrectly) with the inherited Design that all the other pages in the site also inherit. Applying a layout directly to the /home page makes no difference either.
Does anyone know of a way to have a home page with a custom Design applied, but not also have a web path?
Alternatively, can we force Matrix to redirect from /home to the preferred URL?
