Hi Guys,
We have a site asset which is changing its urls - problem is in my tests there doesn't seem to be any remap action happening from older url to new url.
What's the best way to approach this?
Do I have to place a remap on individual standard page assets?
The site has been around for a while and I don't want external links to the site to be broken.

I personally would do a lot of the URL rewriting using Apache.

Thanks for this. I had a talk to technical support and they think we should do exactly that. If we redirect at server level we can just redirect traffic straight to the sites homepage until Google re indexes the content.
It's not a massive site but I reaaaaaaaaally don't wish to place a hundred plus remaps in.
If it is only something you want for a short time then you could create a CSV with the remaps and upload that. http://manuals.matrix.squizsuite.net/system-management/chapters/remap-manager
