Hi - I've just managed to install MySource Matrix 3.1.0 RC1 (which is looking great, by the way), and I've run into this:
In the current distribution there's a few filenames that end in "0000644" causing a bit of trouble in the installation procedure. A quick search will find them; I count 9 files total. Do fix and repackage as it can easily confuse us easily confusable types.
Thanks for your time.
Are you installing MySource on a Linux or Windows server? This is usually caused when unpacking a .tar.gz file on Windows (the 0000644 refers to a Linux permission code).
I will speak to the code maintainers and suggest a Windows-friendly Zip file also be provided.
Yes, it's WinXP. BTW, using cygwin tar -xfz works properly, so, I guess, problem solved.
curses winZip
Yeah, WinRAR does the same thing on my Windows XP box. I've started the ball rolling to get a Zip file available as well, so thanks for the feedback.
I'll get some ZIP versions of the core and installer code up there soon.
