Spry Text Field Validation

Hi, 
I’m wondering if anyone has successfully used spry validation within the bodycopy for a squiz matrix form? I’ve been trying for the past couple of days. I can get the spry to validate against incorrect entries however it still allows the form to submit. I’m trying to accomplish conditional formatting for a page using JavaScript. As far as I can tell this cannot be accomplished using a the standard features of a form. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you a Dreamweaver user? I remember using Spry many years ago when I was still using Dreamweaver, pretty sure it shipped with it. Looks like Adobe stopped supporting it around 2012 as per this update: http://blogs.adobe.com/dreamweaver/2012/08/update-on-adobe-spry-framework-availability.html#.VFaq34ej7UA

 

I suggest moving to jQuery or similar, as there are probably more people (specially in this forum) familiar with this and it's various plugins.
