Squiz Server

Is there a correct process for getting squiz server running. I've noticed in the squiz_server folder that there is a scripts folder with a number of different files there, make_install.sh, and a number of different init versions as well.


I have had a quick took for some docs on it but could not find anything.



a step process would be nice.

1. unpack to /www
   
2. run this script for this reason
   
3. change this config for this reason
   
   
   
   
   
   I have it running however it causes errors with Hipo when the run on squiz server is set to yes, when this is set to no the hipo runs without error.
   
   
   
   I feel that the way I have squiz_server is causing the issue.

Have you configured the correct path to the Squiz Server in your System Configuration screen? Also, is the Squiz Server running as the same user as the web server (it will need to do this for permission purposes)?

As the Squiz Server is part of the SSV version, you are probably better off logging a Support Call so that one of the sysadmins can assist you in configuring the Squiz Server correctly for your infrastructure (i.e. OS/platform/web server configuration).
