I have followed the installation instructions to the letter from the online docs … installed apache, postgres as defined …
at the point of installing the CMS … it falls over on the second installation script( step_02.php) saying SQ_SYSTEM is undefined …
can someone shed some light on this? … pretty please? …
When you run php -v at the command line, does it say (cgi) or (cli) ?
When you run step_02.php, do you pass the correct parameter (i.e. the path to Matrix)?
You're not trying to install it on PHP 5, are you?

I am trying to install on laptop running
redhat 9
apache 2 with mpm=prefork
postgres 8.1
php 4.3.1
I am running php in CLI mode and the latest is thus …
I have now got past step 1 … step 2 moaned about not finding DB.php. I copied pertinent file from /usr/local/apache2/php/lib/* to /usr/local/lib/php
now it is saying
DB Error: not found
I look in DB.php and there are references to mysql … I am running postgres and have it up and running. My postgres instance can be loaded from the command line using the user postgres to prove it is running. The tables spaces have been created as per instructions … obviously I am missing some configuration.
anyone had experienc or know where I am going wrong - I would greatly appreciate on being put right!
