Hey all,
Just wondering if there’s any difference between running the trash purge php script vs the admin interface tool? Besides being able to add it to cron. In particular, performance benefits?
If you’ve got 4000 assets in the trash, would it make a difference running one vs the other?

As far as I’m aware they both run the same underlying HIPO job.
However, if you’re doing an enormous trash purge and you have the option, it tends to be more convenient to launch a screen, run the trash purge script, detach your screen and leave it to run overnight compared to waiting for the HIPO to finish in your browser.
