I had the same problem on Win 2000 Pro with either Explorer or Mozilla. I have gone back to Java 1.4.2_03 and I seems to work now.
Michael
I am using version 1.4.2_04-b05 of Java on Win XP Pro here and it works for me (I know it's not 2000 but I don't think we have a Win 2000 machine to compare it with here ^_^; ).
Were you getting any errors when it loads - ie. was there anything exception-like (NullPointerException, for instance) being reported in the Java Console (right click the cuppa of Java in your system tray, then choose Java Console)?
The boss-type-guy here is running Mozilla 1.7.2 with 1.4.2_04-b05 and it's working fine. I couldn't get it to work at all. Go figure. I'm wondering if he's got a supply of superior sacrificial chickens than I do…
