Tidy Not converting <br> --> <br />

Hey all has anyone else noticed that tidy is not converting the <br> when using the editor to <br /> when bodycopy content is being rendered to screen?

This is in 3.8.5

We haven't had this reported from anyone else. Is it happening consistently, even on new content?

I've the same issue.

works fine for me - 3.10.1

entered:

<p>sdfsfsfsaf<br> ssdafasfsad<br> sdfsafasfd<br></p>

rendered as:

<p>sdfsfsfsaf<br />

ssdafasfsad<br />

sdfsafasfd<br /></p>

Hi,
what OS are you running on your server?

My guess is that it either has to do with version/os or with the arguments forwarded to tidy from Matrix.

Running on SLES 9… it is happening on new content being entered into wysiwyg… not parsing <br> correctly, I would say same with <img> && <hr>

also, its not forcing lowercase on some particular content …

We don't have any SLES based servers internally (we use Debian/Ubuntu and RHEL flavours). We'd probably need to debug this directly on a SLES server. You might want to add this to the list of things for us to look at, Mystik.

Regarding the tidy qestion: I run Debian Sarge 3.1 and have the same issue. I'm starting to belive that it has to do with what version of Matrix I'm running.

But do you (MystikWeb) mean that the html created in the WYSIWYG editor isn't following the rules? In that case it hasn't to do with your server os. It has to do with the WYSIWYG editor and your web browser. Thats why the Tidy plugin is suppose to clean the HTML.

Or do you mean that the output (on front end) isn't following the ruels? [Which is my problem]
