Tiny font size in Internet Explorer

(Kirstyw) #1

When I log into Matrix using Internet Explorer the font is so small it is unreadable and the buttons at the top right are invisible. The asset map and left frame is fine but everything in the right frame is very small.

Other users have the same problem using IE8 and IE10 but in Chrome and Firefox it displays fine.

Does anyone know why this may be happening? matrix-IE.jpg (75.2 KB)

What browser and document mode does your IE get put into? I believe changing those settings will display it properly, but can't remember what exact settings were forcing the above error.

This sounds similar to an issue we have in Edit Mode (with the asset finder) when people accidentally increase or decrease their zoom or text size. Do you have access to the IE toolbar to see if (click Page>Zoom) Zooom value is set to 100%? What's the value for Page>Text Size? Although I'm not too sure where that would need to be done for each frame, because they are different documents within the window.

The top-right icons were never visible for me in IE10, so I was identifying them by looking at the status bar to see which I was over. Upgraded to IE11 this week, and they are back.

Bart might be on to something with the document/standards mode of the browser being out of whack. See related http://forums.squizsuite.net/index.php?showtopic=12164
