Forgive my stupidity, Matrix training was long ago.
I believe there was a way to change one type of asset in to another, but I can't remember where or how?
I need to convert standard page in to a calendar event.

Morphing is in the settings screen of the assets that can actually morph. I think you are out of luck though with what you want to do.
Yeah, you want be able to morph a standard page into a calendar event. They store their content differently so they don't have enough in common to have the morph option.

Correct, such as file assets.

Users are another good example.
Also an asset needs to be Under Construction to allow it to morph.
