There does not seem to be a simple trigger for creating Type 2 links in the backend (the asset builder allows you to do it on create asset). Any help appreciated.
I can do it in a convoluted way
On asset creation move to a folder and make type 2 and then unlink from current parent. It's seems a little crazy.
I have a whole bunch of news, image and document assets that I need created as type 2.
Yeah, there isn't a simple way to do this. The problem is how to target the correct link to be changed. For example, imagine an asset that is linked to three parents, two links are TYPE_1 and the third is TYPE_2. Then, you link it to a fourth parent. By default, it will get a TYPE_1 link, so you configure a trigger to fire. However, we only see the asset the trigger is firing on, so we don't know which of its four links to change.
