Unable to regenerate CSS files

Matrix Version: 5.5.6.4

We’re getting the following Matrix warnings when attempting to regenerate the linked files in our CSS folder. This is preventing us from updating our CSS files.

Interestingly file #12456 is not the asset id of the CSS File Folder, it is a archived content container in our system.

Any ideas on what could be causing these errors?

Not sure what this means, but have you tried creating a brand new CSS File folder and cloning/copying the CSS files from the previous one? (as in, starting from scratch if possible)

Do you have any triggers setup that could affect the CSS files?

We don’t have any triggers but this is occurring in our test environment after a recent refresh from Prod.

Using the /_nocache suffix on the CSS URL shows the most recent version, however it won’t regenerate in Squiz to display the most recent version.
