Hi, I'm just trying to get my head around what happens to the rollback data when I upgrade.
Is it true if I upgrade from 3.26 -> 4.x I will loose the rollback data (i.e. the history)? I'd still like to be able to view the previous edits; I'm not particuarly interested in rolling back, I'd just like to see what was written at a particular point in time.
No, upgrade process won't actually purge your rollback entries. But you may still need to do that anyway because if you are planing major version jump,
stale rollback entry might not work perfectly in new system.
And those rollback entries is for rollback view mode( i.e check what was written in the past).
Matrix doesn't support literal rollback (i.e allow system completely restoring to a previous state).
