I can't get permissions to work for back end users. Here's the set-up:
I have a users folder with a couple of groups, one of which is called Admin, with a particular user in it, called abc. All are live.
I've given the Admin group admin privileges to my Site, which were properly cascaded throughout. However, when logged in as abc, I can't view any information associated with any of the assets. The only thing I can do is create a page, but then I don't have permission to view the detail information (or anything else) about it.
I don't even have permission to read abc's inbox.
I tried a couple of things like assigning Write and Read permissions explicitly for the group, which didn't help. Any ideas what is going on?

On the Security Restrictions page for the Group, you need to enable "Unrestricted Access"

Just a note that unrestricted access will be granted by default in 3.6, so you have to untick that option from now. Should make things a bit easier.
