I created a new user group and added a new backend user to this group. I made them both live so i can log into the Admin Interface.
I gave this group write permission on one of the tree structures in my Site. This contains standard pages, asset listing pages, redirect pages and folders.
I then set some Security Restrictions for the group as this user couldn't use the simple edit interface as the didn't have permission to edit the page contents.
They can now do this through the simple edit interface. But when they log in to the admin interface they are unable to edit the contents of the same page. It says the don't have permission. This page is a standard page, which is under a folder (x icon on folder for user). The folder is underneath another standard page which is under the site asset.
The restrictions i have are: -

You're missing the Page Standard asset itself.
