Using metadata schema field key and value in dropdown list

Note this question is about the schema field, not the metadata value on an asset.

Is it at all possible to use the keys and values from a metadata schema multiple select field, in an html form select list?

I can see the asset type “metadata selection field” in the list of types for the asset listing page to use, but I can’t get anything to come out of it. Just need to know if it’s possible or not, because it doesn’t seem so.

Not really, at least not in an easy way. We are however working on making this become a possibility in the not so distant future because this keeps getting requested.
