Recently we updated to v3.16.5 and have noticed that links from pages being rendered by the "whats new" assest are not pointing to where they should. This only affects links to any assests within MySource Matrix. Previous to the upgrade all the links worked fine.
What version did you upgrade from and where are they pointing to now? If you are a Squiz client, I would log this with Squiz Support so that someone can take a look for you.
As far as I can rememeber I think it was v3.16.2 (the latest one before v3.16.5). The first part of the link refers to where the page is (which folder) then tags part of the assest number on the end. e.g. view link on http://www.niwascience.co.nz/news/mr/2006/2006-04-12-1
The URLs appear to be working, which implies that it's not the What's New asset, but Matrix's URL generation process. Matrix will automatically generate a unique URL for an asset when it is created, so if there is another asset with the same name, Matrix will append a number to the URL to make it unique. It looks like that is happening here, considering a lot of your URLs are based on the date, and not the name of the page/news item.
