Hi,
I'm doing lots of small editing on my site, which I don't want to show up as the last updated date. Is there some way I can display the change of version on a page as a last updated date and not the other changes?
Thanks,
Catherine
A common way to tackle this issue is to display the last published date on a page instead of the last updated date. This means that you can refresh the date by using the publishing status' - ie, use safe edit to make changes, then publish to live when you are finished - or simply make the status change at any point you want to change the date manually.
Thanks, except I use the change of status - up for review and safe edit - to do the small editing. It's this I want to avoid as coming up as last updated, and only get a major update. I guess I could manually back date the published date each time …
Yeah, the other only other option I can see would be the manual status change you mentioned, or perhaps maintaining the date as a metadata field - which would also be manual.
That's a shame. I was hoping there was a tag to use the new version date. Oh well. Thanks anyway.
